At Midlands Humane Society, we believe every pet deserves a healthy life—regardless of their owner’s financial situation. That’s why we’ve partnered with Petco Love to offer free and low-cost vaccine clinics throughout the year, helping pet owners in our community access essential preventive care.
What We Offer at Our Clinics
Our community vaccine clinics are scheduled periodically and open to the public. Services include:
- Free Parvo/Distemper (DA2PP for dogs, FVRCP for cats) Vaccines
- Low-Cost Rabies Vaccines
- Low-Cost Microchipping
These clinics are open to all pet owners—no income requirements, and no residency restrictions. Clinic dates will be posted here and on our social media channels.

Weekday Walk-In Vaccine Access
Can’t make it to a clinic? No problem!
During regular business hours (Monday–Friday), pet owners can walk into Midlands Humane Society to receive a free parvo/distemper vaccine for their pet—no appointment needed.
Location: 1020 Railroad Avenue, Council Bluffs, IA
Hours: Monday–Friday, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Why Vaccinate?
Vaccines are a simple, powerful way to protect your pets from serious (and preventable) illnesses like parvovirus, distemper, and rabies. Keeping pets healthy also protects other animals and the people who love them.
