In 2015, we expect over 3,000 homeless pets will come through our doors!
Each of these furry friends will require vaccinations, health evaluations and temperament assessments. Some will need additional medical treatment, behavioral rehabilitation, or grooming, while others will be healthy pets whose owners simply can no longer care for them.
All of these confused, frightened animals will need food and shelter as well as gentle, loving care. Some pets will be returned to their owners or released to foster care, while most – after being spayed or neutered and micro-chipped – will find their way to our adoption floor.
We could not provide these lifesaving services without the support our community and people like you! Midlands Humane Society is a nonprofit organization that relies on donations to fulfill our mission.
- $35 will allow us to test and vaccinate 2 pets upon entering the shelter – a critical step in protecting the health of all pets in our care.
- $50 will allow us to spay or neuter 1 dog or 2 cats – helping to reduce pet overpopulation by saving countless unwanted animals from being born.
- $165 will allow us to completely care for one animal during their stay at the shelter.
These are just examples of how your donation can directly impact homeless animals. Every dollar counts and a gift of any size helps toward saving lives!
